Best 2022 movies

464 duels later, Spider-Man: No Way Home is still #1 in the TV Time ranking, with The Batman and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness close behind.

Spider-Man: No Way Home wins 65% of its duels and holds 1289 ELO points, edging out The Batman by 46 points. The web-slinger's dominance reflects a community that favors spectacle and nostalgia. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness sits just 7 points behind The Batman at 1236 ELO, rounding out a Marvel-heavy top 3. The podium tightens considerably after Encanto at rank 4: a 66-point gap separates the Disney animation from Thor: Love and Thunder, the steepest drop in the ranking. Thor's 1136 ELO and 38% win rate suggest audiences found it less satisfying than earlier Marvel entries. Don't Look Up languishes at the bottom with 1072 ELO, indicating that star power and timeliness did not translate into lasting affection among voters.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
