Ratatouille wins 56% of its duels and tops the Walt Disney ranking ahead of The Lion King.

The Lion King sits 7 ELO points behind Ratatouille in second place, yet its 64% win rate outpaces the leader's performance. The real chasm opens between ranks 2 and 3: 44 ELO points separate The Lion King from Tangled, the widest gap in the top tier and a sign that voters draw a sharp line between the upper echelon and the rest. Frozen claims fourth place with 1364 ELO points, while Zootopia rounds out the top 5 at 1355 points after 2704 duels. Both trail closely behind Tangled, suggesting tight competition in the middle of the podium. At the opposite end, The Black Cauldron languishes at rank 57 with 933 ELO points, edging out Home on the Range by 11 points and Meet the Robinsons by 19. These bottom dwellers reveal the community's clear convictions about which films fall short of the studio's legacy.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
