129 ELO points separate Human Torch from Invisible Woman at the top of the Fantastic Four "First Steps" ranking, after 152 duels.

Human Torch dominates with 1320 ELO points and a 69% win rate across 72 duels, leaving Invisible Woman far behind at 1191 points. The gap between ranks 1 and 2 dwarfs the tighter race below: Invisible Woman edges Mister Fantastic by just 39 points, while The Thing trails at 1138 points despite competing in 71 duels. Mister Fantastic sits at 1152 points with a 48% win rate over 83 duels, nearly matching Invisible Woman's 49% success rate across 82 duels. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
