Best avengers characters

Iron Man wins 66% of its duels and tops The Avengers ranking ahead of Thor.

Iron Man leads with 1421 ELO points, edging out Thor by 34 points. Spider-Man follows closely in third place with 1384 points, just 3 points behind Thor. The sharpest divide appears between Captain America at rank 4 and Scarlet Witch at rank 5, separated by 45 ELO points—the biggest gap in the top tier. This margin suggests a clear distinction between the established core Avengers and the next tier of heroes. At the bottom, Okoye lands at rank 17 with 925 ELO points, trailing Nebula by 111 points. The basement positions reveal which heroes struggle to win over fans, with War Machine and Nebula hovering just above Okoye in the lower reaches. These lower rankings indicate that supporting characters face an uphill battle against the franchise's headliners.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
