Best female Marvel characters

Wanda Maximoff wins 74% of her duels and tops the Marvel ranking ahead of Natasha Romanoff.

A 48 ELO point gap separates Wanda Maximoff from Natasha Romanoff at the summit, marking the sharpest divide in the top tier of this ranking. Yelena Belova secures third place with 1379 ELO points earned over 634 duels, edging ahead of Gamora in fourth and Peggy Carter in fifth. The podium's composition reveals a clear community preference for characters anchored in the central Avengers narrative and the multiverse storylines that have defined recent Marvel releases. These five heroes share connections to flagship films and pivotal moments in the MCU timeline. At the opposite end of the spectrum, Rahne Sinclair occupies 73rd place with 910 ELO points, trailing just behind Elena Rodriguez and Molly Hernandez. The bottom positions feature characters drawn primarily from television series and standalone projects that never achieved the same cultural penetration as their big-screen counterparts, illustrating how visibility shapes community sentiment.

This ranking synthesizes 43621 duels submitted by 155 players evaluating 73 contenders, with the latest update recorded on 10 October 2026. The substantial vote count demonstrates ongoing engagement with Marvel's expanding roster of female characters, though the hierarchy clearly favors those with the most screen time and narrative weight. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
