Best guardians of the galaxy characters

83 ELO points separate Gamora from Groot at the top of the Marvel ranking, after 2010 duels.

Rocket Raccoon leads with 1342 ELO points and wins 68% of his duels, ahead of Star-Lord at 1270 points. The gap narrows between Star-Lord and Gamora, who sits at 1258 points in third place. But the sharpest drop comes right after: Gamora holds an 83-point advantage over Groot in fourth position, the widest margin in the ranking. This divide suggests the community draws a line between the core trio and the rest of the team. Nebula rounds out the top 5 with 1146 points, while the bottom half tells a different story. Drax lands in sixth place at 1117 points despite his 47% win rate across 191 duels, and Mantis closes the ranking at 1091 points with a 37% win rate over 166 duels. The supporting cast clearly struggles to match the appeal of the franchise leads.

This ranking draws on 2010 duels contributed by 164 players, who voted across 7 contenders. The data was last updated on 10 October 2026. Head to the Marvel TopList to cast your own votes and shift the standings.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
