Best Guardians of the Galaxy characters

874 duels later, Rocket remains #1 in the Guardians of the Galaxy ranking, with Peter Quill close behind at 1328 ELO points.

Rocket dominates with 1427 ELO points and a 73% win rate across 26 duels, but the 99-point gap separating him from Peter Quill at #2 shows a clear divide at the top. Mantis claims third place with 1271 points, while Gamora and Nebula round out the top five with near-identical performances at 1252 and 1228 points respectively. The ranking's bottom tells a different story: Kraglin struggles at #9 with 956 points and just a 25% win rate, while Cosmo fares only slightly better at #8. Drax, despite appearing in all three films, sits at #7 with 1149 points, suggesting the community favors characters with more recent storylines or emotional weight.

The ranking draws on 874 duels cast by 45 players across 9 contenders, updated 12 October 2026. Whether you side with the scrappy raccoon or prefer the team's human leader, VAINKEURZ invites you to vote in head-to-head matchups and shape this ranking. Each duel refines the ELO scores, so your choice between Rocket's sarcasm and Peter Quill's charm directly impacts their positions.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
