135 ELO points separate The Dark Knight from Infinity War at the top of the Superhero movies ranking, after 3488 duels.

The Dark Knight commands the ranking with 1626 ELO points and an 84% win rate over 74 duels, while Infinity War holds second place at 1491 ELO. Endgame takes third with 1437 ELO, edging out Spider-Man 2 by just 3 points. The gap between first and second reflects Christopher Nolan's film maintaining its grip on voters despite strong competition from Marvel's blockbusters. Captain America: Civil War rounds out the top 5 with 1413 ELO and a 65% win rate across 68 duels. At the other end, Super languishes at rank 127 with 869 ELO and an 11% win rate, while Sky High and The Green Hornet fare only slightly better. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
