Best Twilight movies

Chapter 5: Breaking Dawn Part 2 leads the Twilight ranking with 1326 ELO points over 78 duels, ahead of Chapter 3: Eclipse and Chapter 1: Twilight.

A 132-point ELO gap separates Chapter 5: Breaking Dawn Part 2 from Chapter 3: Eclipse, the widest margin in this ranking and a testament to the finale's appeal among fans. The saga's concluding chapter wins 63% of its duels, establishing clear dominance over the rest of the series. Chapter 3: Eclipse and Chapter 1: Twilight share the second and third spots with identical 1194 ELO ratings, though the original film edges ahead with a 56% win rate against Eclipse's 46%. Chapter 2: New Moon sits at rank 4 with 1151 points and a 44% win rate, while Chapter 4: Breaking Dawn Part 1 occupies the bottom position at 1134 points with a 41% win rate. The penultimate installment struggles to match the appeal of its direct sequel or the earlier entries, suggesting fans prefer either the saga's beginning or its explosive conclusion.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
