Best McDonald's burgers

Big Mac wins 66% of its duels and tops the McDonald's best burger ranking ahead of CBO.

The podium holds few surprises, with McDonald's iconic burgers claiming the top spots. Big Mac edges out CBO by just 10 ELO points, while CBO itself sits 16 points ahead of Triple Cheeseburger. The sharpest divide appears further down: 88 ELO points separate Triple Cheeseburger from Double Cheeseburger at ranks 3 and 4, revealing that one extra patty makes a decisive difference in voter preference. Royal Deluxe rounds out the top 5 with 1307 points. At the bottom, fish options struggle to convince: Filet-O-Fish languishes at rank 12 with 914 ELO points and a 28% win rate, while McFirst Fish fares only marginally better at rank 10. The bare-bones Hamburger sits just above Filet-O-Fish at rank 11, suggesting voters favor either premium builds or nothing at all.

This ranking stems from 14593 duels submitted by 529 players across 12 McDonald's burgers. The data was updated on 11 October 2026. If you have a go-to order or think a contender deserves a higher spot, cast your vote: every duel shifts the ELO scores and reshapes the ranking. The best burger is the one the community decides through head-to-head choices, and your input counts toward the next update.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
