Best Bungô Stray Dogs Agency characters

Dazai Osamu wins 74% of his duels and tops the Bungô Stray Dogs ranking ahead of Atsushi Nakajima and Ranpo Edogawa.

A 138 ELO point chasm separates Dazai Osamu from Atsushi Nakajima, the widest margin in the entire ranking. That gulf confirms Dazai's dominance among Agency characters, leaving little doubt about the community's favorite. Atsushi holds second place with 1284 points and a 63% win rate across 51 duels, while Ranpo Edogawa sits close behind at 1275 points with 59% wins in 46 duels. Yosano Akiko claims fourth with 1240 ELO and a 53% win rate, showing solid support from voters. Yukichi Fukuzawa rounds out the top 5 at 1155 points with a 44% win rate across 52 duels. The bottom tier reveals a different story: Kunikida Doppo sits at 1110 points with a 40% win rate in 43 duels, while Naomi Tanizaki struggles at the base with just 1034 ELO and a 31% win rate across 39 duels. The community clearly favors the Agency's star detectives over its supporting cast.

This ranking draws from 1977 duels cast by 106 players across 9 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
