Best Demon Slayer arcs

1044 duels later, Season 3 "Swordsmith Village" is still #1 in the Demon Slayer ranking, with Season 2 "Entertainment District" close behind.

The ranking reveals a tighter race than expected. Season 3 "Swordsmith Village" sits at 1273 ELO points, but the 31-point margin over Season 2 "Entertainment District" at 1242 points shows little separation at the top. The sharpest drop appears between ranks 2 and 3: 52 ELO points divide Season 2 from Mugen Train (Movie) at 1190 points. The bottom half clusters tightly, with Season 1 at 1149 points and Season 4 "Hashira Training" at 1146 points separated by just 3 points. That Season 3 leads despite a modest 51% win rate while Season 2 boasts 70% suggests volatility in the matchups. The lower placement of Season 1, where the journey began, indicates the community favors the intensified stakes and production values of later arcs over foundational storytelling.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
