Best Demon Slayer characters

61 ELO points separate Tanjiro Kamado from Nezuko Kamado at the top of the Demon Slayer ranking, after 3720 duels.

The podium remains tight at the summit, where Tanjiro Kamado claims first place with 1221 ELO points. His sister Nezuko Kamado follows at 1218 ELO across 184 duels, edging him out by just 3 points. Inosuke Hashibira secures third with 1211 ELO and a 55% win rate over 181 duels, matching Tanjiro's own win rate of 55% across 187 duels. The real divide appears between ranks 3 and 4, where Inosuke holds a commanding 61-point lead over Zenitsu Agatsuma. Zenitsu sits at 1150 ELO with a 42% win rate across 172 duels, marking the sharpest split in the ranking. That gap suggests the community draws a clear line between the trio at the top and Zenitsu trailing behind, despite all four characters belonging to the same squad.

This ranking draws from 3720 duels logged by 771 players comparing all 4 contenders from Tanjiro's squad. The figures reflect votes cast through 10 October 2026. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
