Best demon slayer manga covers

Volume 5 wins 60% of its duels and tops the Demon Slayer School Days ranking ahead of Volume 2.

Volume 5 holds a 35-point lead over Volume 2, the sharpest gap in the ranking and a sign that voters respond strongly to its cover design. Volume 6 claims third place with 1200 ELO points, while Volume 1 trails closely at 1198, just 2 points behind. Volume 4 rounds out the top 5 with 1184 ELO after 119 duels. The bottom tells a different story: Volume 3 sits alone at rank 6 with 1135 ELO and a 38% win rate, the lowest approval in the set and a 49-point deficit from Volume 4. The community has drawn a clear line between the covers that resonate and the one that falls short. Volume 2 logged the most duels at 131, suggesting it polarizes voters, while Volume 5 reached the top with fewer matchups but a stronger conversion rate.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
