Best Dragon Ball villains

9509 duels later, Frieza is still #1 in the Dragon Ball Saiyan/Namek Arcs villain ranking, with Vegeta close behind.

Frieza dominates the ranking with 1720 ELO points and an 86% win rate across 110 duels, but Vegeta follows at 1635 ELO over 142 duels. The sharpest gap in the top 5 sits between these two and Captain Ginyu: 280 ELO points separate Vegeta from the Ginyu Force commander, who lands at 1355 ELO. The podium holds no real surprise, though Vegeta's presence as a villain reflects his status during these early arcs, before his gradual shift toward anti-hero. Further down, Raditz closes the top 5 at 1307 ELO with a 58% win rate over 189 duels, while the ranking's bottom tells a different story. Frieza Soldiers languish at #17 with just 800 ELO and a 20% win rate, with Appule and Pui Pui barely faring better at 907 and 927 ELO respectively. The gap between the iconic tyrants and the forgettable henchmen is stark.

This ranking draws on 9509 duels cast by 306 players across 17 contenders, last updated on 10 October 2026. Whether you side with Frieza's cold menace or Vegeta's ruthless pride, head to VAINKEURZ and vote in new duels to shape the standings.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
