Best super saiyans in Dragon Ball

Gohan leads the Dragon Ball ranking with 1591 ELO points over 635 duels, ahead of Goku and Majin Vegeta.

The ranking places Gohan ahead of Goku by 46 ELO points, a narrow margin that reflects the enduring debate over which transformation left the deepest mark on the franchise. Gohan wins 71% of his duels, while Goku takes 69% of his 659 matchups. Majin Vegeta claims third position at 1483 points, then a sharp 77-point drop separates him from Future Trunks in fourth at 1406. Broly rounds out the top 5 with 1398 points and a 65% win rate across 738 duels. The middle tier shows tight competition, but the real divide emerges at the bottom: Caulifla sits at 921 points, Kale at 891, and Cabba at 820. The Universe 6 Saiyans trail far behind, suggesting the community favors the original timeline's warriors and their defining moments over the newer additions from the Tournament of Power.

This ranking draws on 35831 duels cast by 1143 players across 13 contenders, with the latest results recorded on 12 October 2026. Head to the Dragon Ball TopList to vote in head-to-head matchups and influence which Super Saiyan transformation stands as the most iconic.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
