Best Fairy Tail characters

Erza Scarlet leads the Fairy Tail ranking with 1607 ELO points over 1949 duels, ahead of Natsu Dragneel and Lucy Heartfilia.

A 101-point gap separates Erza Scarlet from Natsu Dragneel at the top, a substantial margin that reflects the red-haired mage's dominance among guild members. Natsu, despite accumulating 8275 duels—far more than any contender in the top 5—trails at 1506 ELO. Lucy Heartfilia claims third place with 1492 points, while Laxus Dreyar and Gray Fullbuster round out the top 5 at 1468 and 1464 points respectively. The bottom of the ranking reveals the community's clear hierarchy: Vijeeter Ecor sits last at 709 ELO with a 32% win rate over 3100 duels, followed by Nab Lasaro at 782 points and Reedus Jonah at 799 points. These lower-ranked guild members struggle to compete with the series' marquee fighters, their positions reinforced by thousands of decisive duels.

This ranking draws from 195184 duels cast by 1488 players across 41 Fairy Tail guild members, last updated on 10 October 2026. Whether you side with Erza's disciplined strength or believe another mage deserves the crown, you can join the vote and shift the standings. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
