Best Hell's Paradise characters

1519 duels later, Gabimaru the Hollow, the Rogue Ninja is still #1 in the Hell's Paradise death row criminals ranking, with Yuzuriha of Keishu, the Kunoichi close behind.

Gabimaru the Hollow dominates with 1500 ELO points and an 80% win rate across 41 duels, pulling 104 points ahead of Yuzuriha of Keishu, who holds second place at 1396 ELO. Aza Chobe, the Bandit King completes the podium at 1359 ELO, followed closely by Tamiya Gantetsusai and Nurugai of the Mountains, separated by a single ELO point at ranks 4 and 5. The tight competition in the middle ranks contrasts sharply with the bottom of the list, where Horubo the Killer Monk languishes at 799 ELO with a 5% win rate over 39 duels. The gap between the top and bottom suggests voters favor protagonists and complex antiheroes over characters whose roles ended early or lacked development.

This ranking draws from 1519 duels cast by 66 players across 10 contenders, last updated on 11 October 2026. Every duel refines the standings and tests whether Gabimaru can maintain his lead or if Yuzuriha will close the gap. Cast your vote in head-to-head matchups to shape the next update and decide which death row criminal truly deserves the top spot.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
