Best Kingdom characters

Shin leads the Kingdom ranking with 1515 ELO points over 29 duels, ahead of Kyō Kai and Ei Sei.

A 200-point ELO gap separates Shin from Kyō Kai at the top, the widest margin in the ranking and a sign of the community's clear preference. Shin wins 86% of his duels, establishing undisputed dominance among the five protagonists. Kyō Kai and Ei Sei follow in second and third place with similar win rates of 58% and 57% respectively, though Kyō Kai edges ahead by 87 ELO points after 48 duels. The middle and bottom positions reveal sharper divisions: Karyō Ten sits at rank 4 with a 36% win rate and 1062 ELO points, while Hyō lands at the bottom with just 10% of his 30 duels won and 882 ELO points. The gap between fourth and fifth place stands at 180 points, suggesting the community has made up its mind about which characters deserve recognition.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
