Best my hero academia characters

12647 duels later, Katsuki Bakugo is still #1 in the MHA: The Strongest Hero ranking with 1361 ELO points, with Eijiro Kirishima close behind.

The top of the ranking splits into two distinct tiers. Katsuki Bakugo edges out Eijiro Kirishima by 16 points, and Izuku Midoriya trails by 21 more to complete the podium with 1340 ELO. The sharpest divide appears between ranks 3 and 4, where 34 ELO points separate Izuku Midoriya from Fumikage Tokoyami. This gap suggests the community draws a clear line between the top three heroes and the rest of the field. Bakugo's dominance at 1361 ELO contradicts expectations for a character whose abrasive personality might alienate voters, yet his win rate of 65% across 686 duels confirms the community's unwavering preference. Shoto Todoroki claims rank 5 with 1299 ELO despite a strong 63% win rate, indicating solid performance that hasn't yet translated into top-tier standing. At the bottom, Minoru Mineta languishes at rank 15 with 817 ELO and a dismal 16% win rate across 466 duels, marking him as the ranking's most rejected character by a significant margin.

This ranking draws from 12647 duels cast by 325 players across 15 contenders, updated on 10 October 2026. The voting continues as players refine their preferences through head-to-head matchups. Each duel adjusts the ELO standings and sharpens the community consensus on which MHA: The Strongest Hero characters resonate most. Cast your vote and shape the next update of this ranking.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
