Best My Hero Academia villains

22711 duels later, Himiko Toga remains #1 in the My Hero Academia Vanguard Action Squad ranking, with Dabi – Cremation – Toya Todoroki close behind.

Himiko Toga wins 71% of her duels and holds 1424 ELO points, edging out Dabi by 19 points. Dabi himself claims 1405 ELO with a 66% win rate across 239 duels, keeping pace with the top spot but never quite overtaking it. The podium closes with Twice – Jin Bubaigawara at 1350 ELO, but the sharpest drop in the ranking comes right after: 109 points separate Twice from Mr. Compress – Atsuhiro Sako in 4th place. That gap signals a clear break between the squad's most chaotic core and its more controlled members. Muscular – Goto Imasuji rounds out the top 5 with 1193 ELO, while the bottom tier tells a different story. Magne – Kenji Hikiishi sits at 938 ELO with a 27% win rate, and Mustard holds 985 ELO with 33%, suggesting the community sees genuine unpredictability as concentrated in the top half of the ranking.

The ranking draws on 22711 duels cast by 1285 players across 9 contenders, updated on 10 October 2026. The vote remains open: head to the My Hero Academia TopList and pick the Vanguard Action Squad member you find the most unhinged, one duel at a time.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
