Best Naruto Sensei

51 ELO points separate Kakashi from Jiraiya at the top of the Naruto ranking, after 49510 duels.

Kakashi commands the podium with 1505 ELO points, winning 74% of his duels across 585 encounters. Jiraiya trails with 1454 points and a 70% win rate over 658 duels, while Minato claims third at 1383 points after 672 duels. The sharpest divide cuts between Guy at rank 4 and Yamato at rank 5, where 181 ELO points draw a stark line across the middle of the ranking. This gap dwarfs the tight 6-point margin separating Guy from Minato, suggesting the community draws a clear distinction between the elite instructors and the rest. At the bottom, Ebisu languishes with just 886 points and a 14% win rate after 451 duels, the weakest performance in a field where even Kurenai at rank 9 manages 1104 points. The gap between Yamato at rank 5 and the bottom tier shows how ruthlessly voters separate competent teachers from true legends.

The ranking consolidates 49510 duels contributed by 2222 players across 10 contenders, updated on 10 October 2026. Each duel sharpens the hierarchy, but the distribution reveals how decisively fans favor the legendary trio at the summit. Whether you side with Kakashi's dominance or believe another sensei deserves the spotlight, cast your vote and shift the standings.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
