Best Naruto swordsmen

196 ELO points separate Kisame from Zabuza at the top of the Naruto swordsman ranking, after 54221 duels.

The podium is split in two. Kisame sits at 1554 ELO with Zabuza close behind at 1511, but Mangetsu trails at 1315, marking the sharpest drop in the ranking. That 196-point gap between second and third place underscores the gulf in fan favor between the Akatsuki blade-wielder and Zabuza's demon aura on one side, and the rest of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen on the other. Chojuro holds fourth at 1263 ELO, while Kushimaru rounds out the top 5 with 1202. At the bottom, Raiga and Fuguki are tied at 982 ELO, with Jinin just behind at 977. The basement suggests these characters left a weaker impression on the community, their screen time or narrative weight failing to match the top tier.

This ranking draws on 54221 duels cast by 2495 players across 11 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. The vote remains open: log in to VAINKEURZ, pick your side in head-to-head matchups, and shift the hierarchy. Every duel adjusts the ELO scores in real time, so the current order is never final. Whether you champion the Akatsuki's aquatic enforcer or believe Zabuza deserves the crown, your input moves the needle. Cast your duels and watch the ranking evolve.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
