Best Lego Ninjago seasons

Ninjago Season 4: Tournament of Elements wins 63% of its duels and tops the Lego Ninjago ranking ahead of Ninjago Season 5: Possession.

The podium reflects a clear preference for the middle stretch of the Ninjago saga. Ninjago Season 5: Possession sits at rank 2 with 1327 ELO points, but a 50-point gap separates it from Ninjago Season 6: Skybound at rank 3, the sharpest divide in the top tier. This drop marks a visible shift in community favor. Ninjago Season 2: Legacy of the Green Ninja trails closely at rank 4 with 1272 points, while Ninjago Season 8: Sons of Garmadon rounds out the top 5 at 1246 points. At the bottom, Ninjago Season 14: Seabound lingers at rank 15 with 1077 ELO points, just behind Ninjago Season 11: Secrets of the Forbidden Spinjitzu at 1083 points and Ninjago Season 12: Prime Empire at 1092 points. The lower ranks suggest that later seasons struggle to match the appeal of earlier arcs, clustering within a narrow band of scores.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
