Best One Piece emperors

Shanks wins 77% of its duels and tops the One Piece ranking ahead of Marshall D. Teach.

The 126 ELO points separating Shanks from Marshall D. Teach reflect a clear preference, but the most dramatic divide sits lower: 152 points push Kaido ahead of Charlotte Linlin, relegating Big Mom to the bottom with a 22% win rate. Shanks dominates with 1399 ELO points despite facing fewer duels than his rivals, while Marshall D. Teach holds second place through volume, appearing in 71 matchups. Kaido's 1140 ELO and middling 44% win rate suggest a character respected but not loved, while Charlotte Linlin's 988 ELO confirms her status as the least favored Emperor among voters.

This ranking draws from 2403 duels submitted by 573 players across 4 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
