Best One Piece male characters

Shanks wins 63% of his duels and tops the One Piece male drip ranking, edging out Monkey D. Luffy by just 3 ELO points.

The race for the sharpest style in the Grand Line delivers a razor-thin podium. Shanks sits at 1654 ELO after 502 duels, but Monkey D. Luffy trails at 1651 with a stronger win rate of 68% across 282 duels, and Dracule Mihawk stands at 1644 in third place after 243 matchups. Roronoa Zoro holds fourth with 1618 ELO and a 67% win rate over 252 duels. The real fracture appears between fourth and fifth: 41 ELO points separate Zoro from Gol D. Roger, the widest gap in the top tier. Roger sits at 1577 ELO despite winning 66% of his 265 duels. At the bottom, Gyaro lands at rank 230 with 656 ELO, while Tansui sits just above at 706, suggesting the community has clear opinions on which characters lack fashion sense. Donquixote Rosinante rounds out the visible bottom at rank 228 with 741 ELO.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
