Best One Piece villains

Blackbeard leads the One Piece ranking with 1397 ELO points over 493 duels, ahead of Crocodile and Katakuri.

The top three are tightly packed, but the sharpest drop occurs between ranks 4 and 5: 38 ELO points separate Doflamingo from Kaido. Despite his status as a Yonko and his role as Wano's final boss, Kaido lands fifth with 1282 ELO and a 62% win rate across 489 duels. Blackbeard secures the top spot at 1397 ELO, while Crocodile, an early-saga antagonist from Alabasta, claims second place with 1362 ELO and a 65% win rate across 470 duels. Katakuri rounds out the podium at rank 3 with 1344 ELO. At the bottom, Hody Jones sits last with 800 ELO and a 10% win rate over 351 duels, signaling a near-universal rejection by voters. Big Mom, another Yonko, fares little better at rank 9 with 1012 ELO and a 37% win rate, suggesting the community values narrative depth, personal menace and character complexity over raw power or screen time.

This ranking draws on 17352 duels across 767 players, comparing all 10 contenders. The figures reflect the state of the vote as of 10 October 2026. VAINKEURZ builds its rankings from head-to-head matchups: every time you pick one antagonist over another, you shape the order. Vote now to move your favorite up or knock a rival down.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
