Best One Punch Man characters

13326 duels later, Garou holds the top spot in the One Punch Man ranking with 1433 ELO points, just ahead of Saitama at 1407.

Garou edges out the series protagonist Saitama by 26 ELO points, a tight margin that reflects the fierce loyalty both characters command among voters. The real surprise comes immediately after: a sharp 128-point drop separates Saitama from third-placed Genos, the steepest gap in the entire ranking. This chasm underscores the distance between the top two and the rest of the field. Child Emperor and Bang round out the top 5, clustered within a single ELO point of each other at 1270 and 1269 respectively. At the other end, Puri-Puri Prisoner sits at the bottom with 986 points and a 35% win rate, while Superalloy Darkshine barely outranks him with 1002 points despite a lower 33% win rate. The muted support for these lower-ranked heroes suggests the community reserves its enthusiasm for characters who blend strength with compelling narrative arcs.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
