Budew993Garchomp leads the Pokémon ranking with 1452 ELO points over 225 duels, ahead of Giratina and Darkrai.
Giratina and Darkrai are separated by the ranking's sharpest gap of 17 ELO points at ranks 2 and 3, while Garchomp dominates at the top with a 70% win rate. The dragon and ground type's commanding lead reflects its enduring popularity among generation four fans. Just below the podium, Luxray and Infernape compete within a single point of each other at 1404 and 1403 ELO respectively, showing how tightly contested the middle of the top five remains. At the opposite end, Stunky anchors the ranking at 950 ELO with a 32% win rate, trailing Cherubi and Mothim in the bottom three positions. The gap between the top and bottom demonstrates the wide range of attachment players feel toward different species from the Sinnoh region.
This ranking draws from 12036 duels submitted by 23 players across 107 contenders from generation four. The data was updated on 12 October 2026. Head to the Pokémon TopList to cast your own votes and influence which evolutionary lines, legendary encounters, and starter evolutions rise or fall in the community's estimation. Every duel shapes the hierarchy.
Updated on October 12, 2026
Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
