Best Re:Zero characters

111 ELO points separate Beatrice from Rem at the top of the Re:Zero ranking, after 11715 duels.

Beatrice's dominance is striking, with a 111-point margin over Rem that reflects the community's clear preference for the spirit librarian. Rem herself remains a strong second with 1437 ELO, while Crusch Karsten rounds out the podium at 1400 points. The top 5 stays competitive, with Ram at 1397 and protagonist Natsuki Subaru close behind at 1395. This tight clustering below the summit suggests fierce competition among fan favorites, though none truly threaten Beatrice's hold on first place. At the bottom, the ranking reveals the community's indifference toward minor characters: Setanta languishes at 837 ELO with a 24% win rate, while Gaston fares only slightly better at 866 points. These rankings confirm that Re:Zero fans reserve their votes for the series' central cast.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
