Best manga ranking

16448 duels later, My Hero Academia holds the #1 spot in the MangaBox ranking with 1266 ELO points, just 3 points ahead of Jujutsu Kaisen.

The top of this ranking reveals an exceptionally tight contest between modern shōnen titans. My Hero Academia edges out Jujutsu Kaisen by a mere 3 ELO points despite Jujutsu Kaisen's slightly higher win rate of 50% across its 4812 duels. One Piece claims third place at 1249 ELO, bolstered by an impressive 59% win rate over 4477 duels, while Demon Slayer follows closely at 1245 ELO with 55% of its 4726 duels won. The sharpest divide in the entire ranking appears between ranks 4 and 5, where a substantial 100 ELO points separate Demon Slayer from Attack on Titan. This gap suggests the community draws a firm line between the top four titles and the rest of the field. At the bottom, Bleach sits at 1033 ELO with a 34% win rate across 3959 duels, indicating voters favor the newer generation of series over this veteran franchise.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
