Toriko – Toriko918Goku – Dragon Ball leads the Shonen ranking with 1549 ELO points over 632 duels, ahead of Saitama – One Punch Man and Naruto Uzumaki – Naruto.
The gap between ranks 2 and 3 reveals the sharpest division in the ranking: 127 ELO points separate Saitama – One Punch Man from Naruto Uzumaki – Naruto. At the top, Goku's dominance reflects the enduring appeal of Dragon Ball's power scaling in community debates, a franchise that set the template for escalating strength in the genre. Saitama's second place, despite his narrative premise as an unbeatable force, shows voters weigh franchise legacy and cross-series feats as heavily as raw conceptual strength. The bottom of the ranking exposes the limits of name recognition: Toriko – Toriko sits at rank 13 with 952 ELO, a reminder that lesser-known series struggle to compete with the titans of the genre, even when their protagonists wield continent-crushing abilities. Ichigo Kurosaki – Bleach and Monkey D. Luffy – One Piece occupy the middle ground at ranks 4 and 5, respected but unable to challenge the top tier.
This ranking draws on 29132 duels submitted by 871 players across 13 contenders, updated on 10 October 2026. The vote reflects decades of Shonen tradition, from Dragon Ball's genre-defining battles to One Punch Man's satirical take on heroism. Each duel pits two characters head-to-head, and the cumulative choices shape the standings you see here. If you think another hero deserves the top spot, or if the bottom ranks deserve reconsideration, cast your own duels and shift the balance.

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
