Best Tomodachi Game characters

392 duels later, Yūichi Katagiri remains #1 in the Tomodachi Game ranking, with Tenji Mikasa at #2.

Yūichi Katagiri dominates with 1373 ELO points and wins 73% of his duels across 30 matchups. A substantial 176-point gap separates him from Tenji Mikasa in second place, underlining the protagonist's grip on fan preference. The rest of the top 5 clusters tightly: Makoto Shibe holds third with 1164 points, followed by Shiho Sawaragi at 1144 and Yutori Kokorogi at 1122. Despite her fifth-place standing, Yutori's 45% win rate over 31 duels shows she remains competitive in the middle of the pack. Shiho edges slightly ahead with 1144 points despite similar performance metrics, while Makoto's 42% win rate reflects the narrow margins that define this ranking. Tenji's 46% win rate across 35 duels keeps him firmly in second, though the distance from the top suggests Yūichi commands a distinct following within the fanbase.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
