Best PNL albums

364 duels later, Deux frères is still #1 in the PNL ranking with 1364 ELO points, with Dans la légende close behind at 1318.

The podium reflects a clear hierarchy among the four albums. Deux frères dominates with a 77% win rate over 43 duels, edging out Dans la légende by 46 ELO points. The tightest race sits between ranks 2 and 3, where Dans la légende holds just 128 points over Le Monde Chico. But the sharpest divide appears between Le Monde Chico and Que la famille: 262 ELO points separate third place from fourth, a gap that dwarfs all others in the ranking. Que la famille struggles at the bottom with a 10% win rate, suggesting the community views it as a clear outlier in PNL's catalog. The top three albums cluster within a 174-point range, while the fourth sits in its own tier.

This ranking draws on 364 duels cast by 81 players across 4 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. The vote captures a fanbase with strong convictions: the wide gap at the bottom and the dominant win rate at the top indicate little ambiguity about which albums define PNL's legacy. Whether you side with the newer work or the early releases, the ranking remains open for your input. Cast your own duels and shape the order.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
