Best Female Artists on Spotify

Ariana Grande leads the Female Artists ranking with 1359 ELO points over 239 duels, ahead of Billie Eilish and Lana Del Rey.

The podium reflects tight competition at the top, with just 22 points separating Ariana Grande from Lana Del Rey. Yet the sharpest divide appears lower: 59 ELO points split Rihanna in fourth place from Dua Lipa in fifth, marking the ranking's steepest drop. Billie Eilish, despite her second-place finish, posts the highest win rate in the top five at 64 percent, suggesting she dominates her matchups even if her ELO trails Grande. At the bottom, Karol G sits last with 1069 points and a 33 percent win rate, while Nicki Minaj and Cardi B hover just above, both at 41 percent. The basement rankings reveal a cluster of artists struggling to gain traction among voters, their lower scores pointing to divisive receptions within the community.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
