Best Stromae songs

Tous les mêmes leads the Stromae ranking with 1417 ELO points over 138 duels, ahead of Formidable and Alors on danse.

The top three sit within 16 ELO points of each other, creating a tight race at the summit. The sharpest gap in the upper ranks sets Alors on danse against Papaoutai, separated by 11 points at ranks 3 and 4. That Tous les mêmes claims the top spot over breakthrough anthem Alors on danse suggests voters prize lyrical depth and emotional intensity over pure dancefloor appeal. Formidable follows at 1410 points with a 64 percent win rate across 121 duels, while L'enfer rounds out the top 5 at 1388 points. At the bottom, Up saw liz sits last with 996 ELO points, trailed by Défiler at 1056 and Faut qu't'arrete le rap (ft. JEDI) at 1065, indicating that early collaborations and experimental material struggle to match the pull of Stromae's defining solo work.

This ranking reflects 2494 duels cast by 16 players across 43 contenders, updated on 12 October 2026. Whether you back the theatrical anguish of Formidable or the raw confessional force of L'enfer, visit VAINKEURZ and vote to reshape the order.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
