Best songs on After Hours

After Hours leads the ranking with 1462 ELO points over 97 duels, winning 78% of its matchups and leaving Heartless and Blinding Lights behind.

The title track dominates with a commanding 135 ELO points separating it from Heartless in second place, the widest gap in the entire ranking. Despite Blinding Lights achieving massive commercial success, voters place it third with 1291 points after 119 duels. Hardest To Love and Faith round out the top 5, separated by just 4 points. At the opposite end, Repeat After Me (Interlude) sits last with 1025 points and a 32% win rate, while Snowchild lands at rank 13 with 1041 points. The bottom positions suggest these tracks resonate less with the community.

The ranking draws from 821 duels submitted by 21 players across all 14 contenders from the album, updated on 12 October 2026. Each duel pits two tracks against each other, with every choice refining the standings. After Hours proves its staying power by converting nearly four out of five matchups into victories, while the middle of the ranking shows tighter competition. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
