Best Game of Thrones characters

93432 duels later, Tyrion Lannister is still #1 in the Game Of Thrones ranking, with Arya Stark close behind.

Tyrion Lannister dominates the top spot with 1491 ELO points, but the 117-point gap separating him from Arya Stark at rank 2 reveals just how far ahead the Lannister strategist stands. Arya herself edges out Jon Snow by a single point, making the battle for second place razor-thin: she holds 1374 ELO to his 1373. Jaime Lannister sits at rank 4 with 1344 points, while Davos Seaworth rounds out the top 5 at 1335. The bottom of the ranking tells a harsher story: The Spice King languishes at rank 103 with 785 ELO points, just behind Robin Arryn at 787 and Ilyn Payne at 796. These characters, largely peripheral to the show's central arcs, struggle to capture the same devotion as the leads.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
