Best House Martell members

703 duels later, Oberyn Martell is still #1 in the Game of Thrones ranking of House Martell members, with Doran Martell close behind.

Yet the gap between them is anything but narrow. Oberyn Martell dominates with 1447 ELO points and wins 84% of his duels, while Doran Martell sits at 1215 points after 39 duels. That 232-point chasm is the widest in the entire ranking, a reflection of Oberyn's overwhelming popularity among voters. His younger brother, the cautious ruler of Dorne, faces stiff competition from Tyene Sand, who trails by just 6 ELO points at 1209. The bottom of the ranking tells a harsher story: Trystane Martell languishes in last place with 1057 points and a 29% win rate, suggesting the youngest Martell prince failed to win over the community. Obara Sand fares only slightly better at 1123 points, while Ellaria Sand and Nymeria Sand occupy the middle ground with mixed results.

This ranking draws on 703 duels submitted by 59 players, comparing all 7 contenders from House Martell. The figures reflect the state of the vote as of 12 October 2026. If you have your own preference among the Martells, you can still cast your vote and shift the standings. Each duel you submit helps sharpen the hierarchy and gives a clearer picture of which characters from Dorne resonate most with the community.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
