Best simpsons characters

Bart Simpson wins 74% of his duels and tops The Simpsons family ranking ahead of Homer Simpson.

Just 4 ELO points separate the show's rebellious son from his bumbling father at the summit, a margin tight enough to shift with any fresh wave of votes. Lisa Simpson claims bronze with 1489 points after 149 duels, while Marge Simpson holds fourth place at 1472 points. The sharpest division in the ranking lies between Marge and youngest daughter Maggie Simpson: 95 ELO points, the widest gap across all 16 contenders, marking a clear threshold between the core four family members and everyone else. Maggie rounds out the main household at rank 5 with 1377 points and a 60% win rate across 162 duels. At the bottom, extended family members struggle to gain traction. Clancy Bouvier, Marge's father, languishes at rank 16 with just 876 ELO points and a 24% win rate, while Abbey Simpson and Herbert Powell occupy ranks 15 and 14 respectively, suggesting voters prioritize the nuclear family over its periphery.

This ranking draws on 5209 duels cast by 126 players across 16 contenders, updated on 10 October 2026. Whether you side with Bart's anarchic charm, Homer's donut-fueled chaos, or Lisa's saxophone-playing intellect, the vote remains open. Cast your duels and shape the standings.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
