Best My Wife and Kids characters

109 ELO points separate Michael Kyle from Junior Kyle at the top of the My Wife and Kids ranking, after 516 duels.

The gap between patriarch Michael and his son Junior reflects the show's central dynamic: Michael's commanding presence and sharp wit earn him 1321 ELO points and a 67% win rate across 30 duels, while Junior sits at 1212 points despite facing 33 duels. Claire Kyle trails just 4 points behind her brother at 1208, suggesting fans remain divided between the two oldest Kyle siblings. Her 55% win rate across 29 duels shows steady support, yet she cannot close the gap to Junior's position. The bottom half of the family ranking tells its own story: youngest daughter Kady lands at 1126 points after 27 duels, while matriarch Janet Kyle closes the list at 1109 points after 35 duels, the highest duel count of any family member yet the lowest position in the household hierarchy.

This ranking emerges from 516 duels cast by 77 players across 5 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. The Kyle family hierarchy continues to shift as voters weigh comedic timing against character depth, parental authority against teenage chaos. Head to VAINKEURZ to cast your vote and decide whether Michael's reign will hold or if another family member deserves the crown.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
