Best walking dead communities

694 duels later, Alexandria remains the top choice for survival in The Walking Dead communities ranking, with The Hilltop trailing behind.

Alexandria commands the ranking with 1407 ELO points and wins 72% of its duels, establishing a decisive 94-point gap over second-place The Hilltop. The Kingdom sits close to The Hilltop at 1301 points, making the fight for second position tight. The Prison and Greene Family Farm round out the top 5, both showing respectable 56% win rates. At the opposite end, Terminus occupies the bottom slot with 959 ELO points and a dismal 21% win rate, suggesting voters see little appeal in the cannibalistic sanctuary. The Dump ranks just above it at 1018 points, while Woodbury takes ninth place. The poor showing of these locations reflects the community's rejection of communities defined by treachery or squalor.

This ranking draws from 694 duels contributed by 26 players across 11 contenders, last updated on 12 October 2026. The results highlight clear preferences: voters favor the stability and organization of Alexandria over the chaos and moral compromises represented by the lower-ranked communities. Cast your vote now to shape this ranking and reveal which Walking Dead community truly offers the best chance at survival in the apocalypse.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
