Best The Witcher characters

Geralt of Rivia wins 67% of his duels and tops The Witcher ranking ahead of Yennefer of Vengerberg.

The podium looks predictable with the show's core trio claiming the top three spots, but the margins tell a different story. Just 8 ELO points separate Geralt at 1432 from Yennefer at 1424, making the lead paper-thin. The real divide emerges below: Ciri holds third place at 1415, but a 97-point gap opens between her and Jaskier at 1318. That chasm suggests voters draw a clear line between the destiny-bound protagonists and everyone else. At the bottom, King Foltest sits at 982 points with a 29% win rate, indicating the community has little patience for secondary royal figures when witchers and sorceresses dominate the conversation.

This ranking draws from 3028 duels across 100 players comparing 13 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. Head to VAINKEURZ to cast your own votes and shift the standings. Every duel reshapes the ELO scores, and with margins this narrow at the top, a few strategic picks could shuffle the order. Whether you side with the stoic witcher, the ambitious mage, or the Cintran princess, the platform lets you argue your case one matchup at a time.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
