Best Wednesday species

77 ELO points separate Shape-shifters from Sirens at the top of the Wednesday ranking, after 2190 duels.

Werewolves claim the top spot with 1326 ELO points and a 61% win rate across 209 duels, edging out Shape-shifters by just 16 points. The sharpest divide appears below them: Shape-shifters hold second place at 1310 ELO, but a steep 77-point gap pushes Sirens down to third with 1233 ELO. Psychics land at fourth with 1174 ELO across 172 duels, while Gorgons round out the top 5 at 1154 ELO despite a modest 42% win rate over 195 duels. Hydes and Vampires occupy the bottom two ranks, with Vampires languishing at 1088 ELO despite facing 202 duels. The gap between folklore staples like werewolves and vampires suggests voters favor the series' fresher creature concepts over traditional monsters, while the psychics' steady performance reflects their narrative weight in the show.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
