Best ark survival evolved creatures

22 ELO points separate Rex from Argentavis at the top of the ARK: Survival Evolved creature ranking, after 13054 duels.

The gap tightens further down: only 25 points divide Argentavis in second place from Spino at rank 3, while the sharpest divide appears between ranks 4 and 5, where Ovis edges ahead of Sarco by 37 ELO points. Rex dominates with 1434 ELO and a 68% win rate across 28 duels, confirming its status as the apex predator in the minds of players. Argentavis trails closely at 1412 ELO, securing its spot as the preferred flyer. At the bottom, the community has spoken harshly: Gasbags languishes at rank 107 with just 971 ELO, while Ichthyornis and Titanomyrma occupy ranks 106 and 105 respectively, suggesting these creatures inspire little affection among survivors.

This ranking draws from 13054 duels involving 26 players across 107 creatures, updated on 12 October 2026. The breadth of the roster reflects the vast menagerie available in ARK, from fan favorites to universally despised nuisances. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
