Best Assassin's Creed games

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag leads the Assassin's Creed ranking with 1455 ELO points over 242 duels, ahead of Assassin's Creed II and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.

The top 3 remains tight, but a sharp 70-point gap separates Assassin's Creed II from Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood at ranks 2 and 3. Black Flag edges ahead by 29 points over Assassin's Creed II, claiming the top spot despite the latter's marginally higher win rate of 65%. The surprise lies in the strength of the Ezio trilogy entries, which still dominate the podium years after release, while more recent installments like Odyssey sit at rank 5 with 1323 ELO points. At the bottom, the Chronicles spinoffs occupy the final three positions, with Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia at 717 ELO points suggesting the community has little appetite for the side-scrolling format compared to the mainline open-world adventures.

This ranking draws on 5600 duels cast by 138 players across 15 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. The pirate-themed Black Flag proves that naval combat and Caribbean exploration still resonate with fans seeking their favorite entry in the long-running franchise. Whether you favor Ezio's Renaissance journey or Edward Kenway's high seas escapades, the ranking captures where the community stands. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
