Best Dragon Ball FighterZ characters

4 ELO points separate Piccolo from Gohan at the top of the Dragon Ball FighterZ ranking, after 6722 duels.

The battle for supremacy remains tight. Piccolo holds first place with 1381 ELO points and a 63% win rate across 123 duels, narrowly ahead of Gohan at 1377 ELO. Gohan's 69% win rate suggests dominance in head-to-head matchups, yet the slimmer duel count of 98 keeps him from overtaking the top spot. Gotenks rounds out the podium at 1360 ELO, but the sharpest drop in the ranking appears immediately below: 29 ELO points separate Gotenks from Bardock at rank 4. That gap marks the clearest dividing line between the elite and the rest of the roster. At the bottom, Videl struggles at rank 44 with 954 ELO and a 27% win rate, the lowest performance in the field. Master Roshi sits just above at 1016 ELO, while Nappa holds rank 42 with 1079 ELO. The lower ranks reveal a segment of the roster that fails to connect with the community's playstyle preferences.

The ranking draws from 6722 duels submitted by 40 players across a roster of 44 contenders, updated on 12 October 2026. With dozens of fighters still in the mix, the picture of community preference remains fluid. Head to VAINKEURZ to vote in fresh duels and shift the standings.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
