Best final fantasy vii summons

88 ELO points separate Ifrit from Ramuh at the top of the Final Fantasy VII Remake favorite Summon ranking, after 665 duels.

Shiva claims the top spot with 1380 ELO points and a 75% win rate across 32 duels, narrowly ahead of Bahamut at 1359 points. The dragon summon wins 70% of its 27 encounters, matching the win rate of third-place Ifrit at 1354 points over 30 duels. Yet the ranking's sharpest drop materializes immediately after the podium: an 88-point chasm opens between Ifrit and fourth-place Ramuh at 1266 points, underscoring a clear divide between the game's most beloved summons and the rest of the roster. Leviathan follows at 1256 points with a 62% win rate. At the opposite end, Fat Chocobo languishes at rank 10 with 1001 ELO points and a 22% win rate across 23 duels, while Chocobo Chick and Cactuar occupy ranks 9 and 8 respectively. The bottom three suggest the community reserves its affection for the franchise's storied heavy hitters rather than its more whimsical creatures.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
