Best Genshin Impact hydro characters

21 ELO points separate Furina from Tartaglia at the top of the Genshin Impact ranking, after 889 duels.

The top of this hydro character ranking shows a fierce fight for the podium. Furina claims the lead with 1320 ELO points, edging out Tartaglia by 21 points and Neuvillette by 26 points. The real chasm opens below: 43 ELO points separate Neuvillette from Yelan, the widest gap in the ranking and a clear divide between the elite and the rest. Yelan holds fourth place with 1251 points, while Xingqiu rounds out the top 5 at 1242 points. At the opposite end, Barbara languishes at the bottom with 1022 ELO points and a 28% win rate over 111 duels, suggesting the community finds little appeal in her compared to the frontrunners. Sigewinne sits just above at 1081 points, followed by Candace at 1131 points.

This ranking draws from 889 duels contributed by 29 players across 12 contenders, last updated on 12 October 2026. The tight race at the top and the stark drop after third place reveal where player preferences concentrate. Whether you favor damage dealers, supports or something in between, your vote can shift the balance. Head to VAINKEURZ and pick your champion in the next duel to shape this ranking.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
