Best Hogwarts Legacy common rooms

Slytherin Common Room leads the Hogwarts Legacy ranking with 1262 ELO points over 40 duels, ahead of Ravenclaw Common Room and Hufflepuff Common Room.

The top three spots cluster within 72 ELO points, but the real divide appears below the podium. Hufflepuff Common Room holds third place with 1190 points, while Gryffindor Common Room trails at 1124—a 66-point gap that marks the sharpest split in the ranking. Despite Gryffindor's prominence in the Harry Potter universe, its common room registers the lowest win rate at 33%, a sign that players find the lakeside ambiance of Slytherin or the tower views of Ravenclaw more compelling. Slytherin's 65% win rate confirms its visual appeal, even as Hufflepuff quietly secures third with a solid 54% performance. The basement spaces seem to resonate more with the community than the tower settings that define the franchise's most famous house.

This ranking draws from 611 duels submitted by 124 players across all four common rooms, updated on 11 October 2026. Every vote refines the hierarchy, and with only four contenders, each duel carries weight. Head to VAINKEURZ to cast your own judgment: pick the common room that captures the atmosphere of Hogwarts Legacy most effectively, and watch the ELO scores shift with each new comparison.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
